YOGA IS FOR EVERYBODY AND EVERY BODY.

One of the hardest things about trying yoga for the first time is getting over the fear of whether you'll fit in or not? or wondering whether you'll be able to do the poses and keep up, especially if you?re not in the best of shape.
Our community is super-friendly, supportive, and non-competitive. Our students range in age from 18- 65 and come in all shapes, sizes and fitness levels. You'll find our studio to be a very comfortable place to be yourself, enjoy your practice, and have fun.
You'll learn how to use yoga to not only strengthen your arms and stretch your hamstrings, but also to balance your mood, cope with grief or anger, find your center, and move with more ease and grace through your daily life.

THE KEY THAT UNLOCKS THE DOOR TO INNER PEACE AND HAPPINESS.

Through conscious movement, students open and strengthen every part of their body. Through breath and mindfulness practices, students calm their mind and empower their spirit. The result? Inner peace, happiness and ease in the way you experience life.
One study found that a consistent yoga practice improved depression and led to a significant increase in serotonin levels. Students enjoy greater levels of energy, joy, and a better immune function with all the fun poses we do.
From improved strength, flexibility, balance, and deeper sleep to releasing tension in your body and mind, yoga can both prevent disease and help you recover from it.

LOVE YOURSELF AS YOU ARE AND ENJOY THE PRESENT MOMENT.

Yoga is the perfect opportunity to be curious and explore who you are. It's not about touching your toes; it's what you learn on the way down. Yogis learn to be flexible and balanced in their body and mind, as well as accepting of themselves and others.
An important component of yoga is focusing on the present. Studies have found that regular yoga practice improves coordination, reaction time, memory, and even IQ scores.
Everyone has a monkey mind, always jumping from thought to thought to thought. Yoga encourages you to relax, slow your breath, and enjoy the present moment during your practice and in everything you do in life, thereby helping you to enjoy life to the fullest.

BREATHE OUT STRESS AND BREATHE IN OPTIMAL HEALTH AND HARMONY.

Yoga reduces the fluctuations of the mind. It slows down the mental loops of frustration, regret, anger, fear, and desire that can cause stress. Since stress tends to cause so many health problems, if you learn to quiet your mind, you're more likely to live longer and healthier.
Yoga poses help to balance the two parts of our nervous system, the fight-or-flight response and the relaxation response. The latter is calming and restorative; it lowers breathing and heart rates, decreases blood pressure, and increases blood flow.
A regular yoga practice gets you moving and burns calories, and the spiritual and emotional parts of your practice may encourage you to deal with any food and weight problems on a deeper level. It may also inspire you to become a more conscious eater.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: Both. While more women typically attend class, yoga is just as beneficial for men, as it is for women. Both sexes improve strength, balance, flexibility, and overall health and happiness and that's priceless for anybody and every body.
A: Have no fear. The most common misconception that prevents people from doing yoga is that they think they must be flexible. Yoga is not about how flexible you are; it's about moving and optimizing your body and mind to develop and increase your strength, balance, flexibility, and overall health and happiness. With time, practice and patience, you will most likely benefit from increased flexibility.
A: You should consult your health care provider before trying Yoga. Also, talk with the instructor before class to discuss your injury and limitations. We always try to offer modifications in class, but this will allow the instructor to plan or assist you during class, should you need it. We always encourage modifications and adjustments to the poses, as needed. You know your body better than anyone so don't hesitate to express that self-love to yourself at any point in your practice.
A: There are no set rules for how often to practice. Some students come almost every day while others come one to three times a week. The benefits of yoga can be felt after one class, so we believe that you will find the right number that works best for your body, schedule, and life.
