One of the hardest things about trying yoga for the first time is getting
over the fear of whether you'll fit in or not? or wondering whether you'll
be able to do the poses and keep up, especially if you?re not in the best
of shape.
Our community is super-friendly, supportive, and non-competitive. Our
students range in age from 18- 65 and come in all shapes, sizes and fitness
levels. You'll find our studio to be a very comfortable place to be
yourself, enjoy your practice, and have fun.
You'll learn how to use yoga to not only strengthen your arms and stretch
your hamstrings, but also to balance your mood, cope with grief or anger,
find your center, and move with more ease and grace through your daily life.
Through conscious movement, students open and strengthen every part of
their body. Through breath and mindfulness practices, students calm their
mind and empower their spirit. The result? Inner peace, happiness and ease
in the way you experience life.
One study found that a consistent yoga practice improved depression and led
to a significant increase in serotonin levels. Students enjoy greater
levels of energy, joy, and a better immune function with all the fun poses
we do.
From improved strength, flexibility, balance, and deeper sleep to releasing
tension in your body and mind, yoga can both prevent disease and help you
recover from it.
Yoga is the perfect opportunity to be curious and explore who you are. It's
not about touching your toes; it's what you learn on the way down. Yogis
learn to be flexible and balanced in their body and mind, as well as
accepting of themselves and others.
An important component of yoga is focusing on the present. Studies have
found that regular yoga practice improves coordination, reaction time,

Everyone has a monkey mind, always jumping from thought to thought to

fight-or-flight response and the relaxation response. The latter is calming
